PC/Laptop specs!

Recommended Posts

Show off your glamorous and glorious PC rigs here! Put down some specs- RAM, Processor, GPU/Graphics cards and other such things.

My soon-to-be personal laptop has 8Gb RAM, an i5 Quad core 2.3GHz processor, and, well, Intel HD 3000 :/ Oh well, better than this current potato at least :P

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 17R, that's currently about 3 years old. 8 Gb RAM, 1TB hard drive, Intel i7-4500 processor @ 2.4 GHz, graphics card is just an Intel HD Graphics Family card

I also have an Alienware (also by Dell) gaming laptop that I can't remember the specs on, but it's definitely better than this thing. But the battery on it died and it weighs 20 pounds so I don't use it much right now :P I will when I get a desk in my apartment.

My husband and I also have plans to build our own towers and have a His/Her gaming rig in our living room. Details on that when we can actually afford it. But they will be VR ready so it's gonna be sweeeeeeet lol

Last year I made the decision to gift myself a gaming PC after being inspired by Instagram. Last time I used a desktop was back in 2008 and since then I depended my life’s work on laptops.

Here’s the specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3.6 GHz - this was recommended to me by the shop and so glad I went for it!

SSD 500 GB

GTX 1660 Super - I’m keeping an eye out for RTX cards at affordable prices. I’ve seen some 3060s and 3070s on sale every so often but it’s still too expensive for what I can afford.

16 RAM

700 W - Might plan on upgrading this later but we’ll see.

This is my current set up. Overall it’s a decent rig and runs games and video processing programs like a dream. Though it misbehaves every so often, thanks Display Port. -__-“
