Goldenheart13
Hello Everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic but I couldn't find a topic for song writing. Does anyone have any tips of how to a lyrics in a chorus? I'm new to lyric-writing and I can write an opening pretty easily but the chorus always gets me. I never know what part to repeat or how to structure it. Other song writers make it look so easy... Quote Link to comment

TRmember
Try to look at the song/story from a little bit more far away and get the essence. What is the song in one sentence / in one word? What is the key message? What could be a strong contrast to the verse? Quote Link to comment
Goldenheart13
Thanks so much. I'll give it a try. I'm also reading " Writing Better Lyrics: The Essential Guide to Powerful Songwriting" by Pat Pattison. I also wrote some lyrics in college, is there any where I can share and get feedback? Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
